Can my company use HP Smart Printing Services? |
HP Smart Printing Services have been developed especially for small and medium-sized companies. Significant savings can be achieved in companies with a workforce of around 80 or more members of staff.

What do I need to do? |
European Printing Solutions(EPS) will help you analyse your infrastructure and define your requirements. An optimisation strategy for your fleet of devices and a quotation will be calculated on this basis. EPS will produce a quotation for you for a period of 12-60 months. Depending on your own preferences, hardware can either be purchased or it can be financed or leased through EPS. We can integrate any services into an overall concept.
What optimisation strategy does HP recommend? |
We recommend a strategy which ensures the benefits of a "balanced deployment": this is based on the fact that almost two thirds of printed and copied documents are 1-3 pages in size. Local, networked printers and multi-functional printers will give optimum staff productivity. Larger multi-functional devices are installed for entire departments or floors for printing out larger documents so that the cost per page can be minimised for big print runs. If your company is following the current trend towards increasing print volumes and falling copying volumes , EPS in partnership with HP, offers a wide product range and know-how will give you the ideal conditions.

How do I get my supplies? |
You can request maintenance, hardware support and supplies by phone or request them around the clock from the HP Service Portal.
Fully automatic maintenance interventions and deliveries of supplies are provided by HP Remote Monitoring. This is an optional component of the solution offered for the HP Level Pay, and is a fixed component of HP Base+ and HP All In. |
Is HP Remote Monitoring - the fully automatic system for requesting supplies and maintenance services – a secure method? |
HP Remote Monitoring uses several levels of security. Firstly, the data collector always initiates communication between the customer and HP database. This doesn't happen the other way round. Secondly, through the HTTPS communication log, HP Remote Monitoring deploys the same technology companies use to access the Internet. Thanks to Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, all the data is encrypted. The SSL security log provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity and optional client authentication for a TCP/IP connection. This is the security standard used on the market for secure web-based communication. The final guarantee for HP Remote Monitoring is the fact that it is already used by numerous customers from all industries, including banks.

I want a fair and transparent billing model. What would you recommend for me? |
HP recommends the usage-based HP Level Pay. This billing model does not use a minimum purchase volume. This guarantees clear budgeting for every 12-month period. This is how it works: your toner and ink usage is initially estimated on the basis of empirical values and results of analyses. The monthly or quarterly rate is based on this. A year later - as with your electricity bill at home - actual usage is calculated and the rates for the following year adjusted accordingly. But the most important thing for you is that if you use less than estimated, you get your money back. Using this system, you can view the usage of your fleet of devices at any time using online reports updated every day by logging on to your HP Service Portal.

Can I also use HP Smart Printing Services with my existing fleet of printers and MFPs? |
Yes. Any existing HP devices can of course be included. To ensure that the service is not limited (e.g. for availability of spare parts), they shouldn't however exceed a certain age.
What HP printers and MFPs are suitable for HP Smart Printing Services? Can I decide myself which devices I want to buy or lease? |
All HP LaserJets and Business Inkjets and black/white, single-function and multi-functional printers are suited to HP Smart Printing Services. This also applies to other devices such as the HP Digital Sender. As we are certified and approved HP DesignJets specialists we can also integrate Large Format Printers into the HP Level Pay billing model.
